DGD documentation is the Slovenian project documentation for obtaining opinions and a building permit. It presents the intended construction, its location and key characteristics. The competent bodies use it within their respective responsibilities.
From concept to DGD documentation
Preparation begins with the location and a clearly defined intervention. The client’s requirements are coordinated with planning conditions, the existing situation and the relevant disciplines. Resolve open questions before committing to a detailed solution.
Concept design helps compare layout, size, access and the building’s relationship with its surroundings. Project conditions help define design requirements. An opinion concerns the documentation submitted and the particular body’s responsibilities.
Which bodies are involved?
The relevant opinion providers depend on the location and proposed works. Utility connections, road access, water, nature and cultural heritage can all be relevant. A project in a protected area may need different supporting information from another site.
There is no single attachment list suitable for every building. Identify the actual requirements and coordinate the design around them. A change to the proposal can also affect an opinion already obtained.
Content and coordination
DGD contains prescribed forms, a technical report and location and technical drawings. Together they explain what is proposed. They must be consistent with each other and with the information used in the application.
- Do parcel details match the proposed work?
- Are access and utility connections clearly shown?
- Are the required specialist reports included?
- Have questions from the opinion providers been resolved?
- Does the client hold the required supporting documents?
DGD and construction drawings
Documentation for permission and detailed execution instructions have different roles. PZI develops construction solutions and the plans of individual disciplines. Its scope follows the building and the intended works.
Our retaining wall example shows why dimensions, formwork, reinforcement and details are needed for execution. A permit-stage description alone does not communicate every construction detail.
Read about our building permit service and structural design. Send the location and available documents through the contact form to discuss the appropriate DGD documentation scope.
