From the first idea to moving in
Construction supervision checks execution against the permit, project documentation and applicable requirements. It also helps the client address technical questions while the work is still accessible. Agree the appointment and the scope before construction begins.
The service is performed under an agreed contract with the appropriately authorised professional. Our service information identifies civil engineer Branko Manič, IZS PI G-4551. Clients can check professional status in the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers register.
We aim for constructive communication between the client, contractor and designers. The purpose is to identify the issue, establish the relevant requirement and coordinate a workable response. Findings and agreed changes should be traceable.
Work through the technical questions with the people involved.
Identify the issue and coordinate the response.
Define the services around the project and its stage.
Where irregularities are identified, the required response depends on their nature and the applicable rules. Serious issues may require work to stop while the necessary measures are established.

Architecture, structure and installations must form a coordinated set. PZI develops the construction solutions and instructions. A proposed change can affect several disciplines, even when it looks small on site.
Resolve the change with the responsible designer before it is concealed. Keep the decision, revised drawing and supporting information together. This helps the contractor build the agreed solution and supports the completion documentation.

Commercial and organisational support should be defined separately from the core statutory role. Depending on the commission, additional tasks can include a pre-construction review, tender assistance, quantity tracking and financial monitoring.
We can agree the review of interim and final payment statements, consideration of contractor claims, participation in handover and support during the warranty period. The scope, reporting and responsibilities must be clear to everyone involved.

Agree the construction supervision appointment and scope before construction begins. Inspection arrangements need to follow the planned stages of the works.
We first examine the available documentation and the current question. We can then identify the relevant specialist and agree the scope of the next review.
Reinforcement, waterproofing, connections and other concealed details need timely inspection. The contractor and supervisor should agree when each stage will be ready. A finished surface cannot show every detail beneath it.
Our retaining wall example illustrates the connection between geometry, reinforcement and execution. Ground and water assumptions also need confirmation when excavation starts.
Collect product information, tests, measurements and change records during the works. Leaving this until handover can make completion difficult. Our guide to supervision, PZI, PID and DZO explains the different documents.
Send the location, stage of construction, expected programme and available drawings through our contact form. We can then define the required disciplines, inspection arrangements and any additional support in a project-specific quotation.
