PZI documentation turns an energy renovation proposal into coordinated construction information. For an existing building, this starts with a reliable picture of the current condition. Drawings, specifications and quantities should describe the same solution.
Existing information before PZI documentation
We review the available plans and examine the actual building. Site measurements and photographs help identify geometry, damage and important interfaces. Roof and façade details may require additional views.
A 3D building survey can provide useful spatial context. Drone images may help document areas that are difficult to see from the ground. The capture method and required accuracy should follow the intended use.
Models and coordinated details
A digital model helps the team discuss surfaces, junctions and quantities. It can reduce ambiguity compared with isolated images. It does not remove the need for measurements, checking or professional interpretation.
Existing drawings should be compared with what is on site. Open questions need to be recorded and resolved. Where an element is hidden, a visual model alone cannot establish its condition.
Renovating the envelope
Insulation is part of a complete façade or roof solution. Window junctions, balconies, plinths, parapets, drainage and fire details must be considered together. Materials and layer build-ups follow the building and applicable requirements.
The documentation may include a technical report, thermal calculations, drawings, execution details and a bill of quantities. A designer’s estimate supports budgeting and tendering. The agreed scope should be clear before preparation begins.
Funding requirements and supervision
Where support from Eko sklad is planned, check the current call and the required documentation. The original 2024 article referred to 112SUB-OBPO24. That reference remains historical; it does not establish today’s funding conditions.
Construction supervision checks execution against the relevant documents. Collect product evidence, tests and change records during the works. Resolve departures before they are concealed.
